About
This brand didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a changed life.
Hi, I'm Megan.
I grew up in a small town in New Jersey and have always loved being active. I played sports throughout my childhood and into my teen years, and during my junior year of high school, I started getting into weight lifting. The problem was… I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I would spend hours experimenting with random exercises, running on the treadmill, doing leg machines, and hoping for results without any real structure or plan. For years that's what fitness looked like for me — inconsistent, unstructured, and completely dependent on motivation that never lasted.
But it wasn't just fitness. For a long time, I wasn't taking care of myself in any area of my life. I was prioritizing convenience and fleeting pleasure over my health and well-being. Now and then, I'd get on a health kick and feel good for a little while. But the moment things got hard or inconvenient, the motivation disappeared, and I'd fall right back into my bad habits.
Nothing stuck. And I couldn't figure out why.
Then everything changed.
It wasn't a new program that turned things around for me. It wasn't a transformation challenge or a motivational video or finally finding the right workout split.
It was Jesus.
When I began walking with God, He gave me the ability to see my body through an entirely different lens — a spiritual one. I stopped viewing fitness as something I did to look a certain way or feel validated by others. I started seeing my body as a gracious gift from God that I was called to steward well — as an act of worship and gratitude.
When my identity became rooted in Christ, everything shifted. I was no longer working out because of obligation, insecurity, or the need for validation. I wasn't chasing a certain look or waiting for external motivation to carry me. I was freed from all of that — and for the first time, I was able to simply take care of my body from a place of purpose and gratitude.
And the discipline that followed? That wasn't me either.
Scripture is clear that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). The discipline I had been desperately trying to manufacture on my own for years was never going to come from me. It was only going to come from abiding in Him. Discipline was no longer about punishment or perfection — it became an act of stewardship and worship. When I stopped striving and started surrendering, God grew in me what I could never grow in myself.
Why I started Abide Athletics.
I've watched what happens when faith and fitness come together with real intention — and I want everyone to experience that shift.
For too long, I believed that discipline was something you either had or you didn't. That some people were just built differently. That motivation was the key and I simply didn't have enough of it.
But self-control is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:23) . It's grown in us through our relationship with God — not manufactured through willpower alone. When you abide in Him first, everything else begins to flow from the right place. You stop chasing fitness for the wrong reasons and start stewarding your body out of gratitude. And that changes not just how you train — it changes how you live.
I started Abide Athletics because I want to teach people how closely integrated faith and fitness really are. I want to help people build real strength — physically, mentally, and spiritually. And I want to point every single person who finds this brand toward Jesus — because lasting fruit is built by staying connected to the One who changes us from the inside out.
The workouts are real. The programs are intentional. But the foundation underneath all of it is what makes it worth doing.
A note on credentials.
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have my B.S. in Health & Physical Education. Every program I create is built with purpose, rooted in evidence-based training principles, and designed to help you build strength that actually lasts. I am committed to continuing to grow in my knowledge and craft so I can serve you as well as possible.
If you've made it this far — thank you.
Whether you're here for a workout plan, looking for a coach, or you just stumbled across this page and something resonated — I'm glad you're here. I hope something you read today points you one step closer to Jesus and one step closer to the strongest version of yourself.
You were created for more. Let's build toward it together.
— Megan
Our Foundation
Abide Athletics was created with the desire to help people grow in every area of health — physically, mentally, emotionally, and most importantly, spiritually. While I absolutely want to help you become stronger, feel confident, build healthy habits, and see lasting results in the gym, my deepest hope is that this brand would also point you toward Jesus and help you bear lasting fruit in your spiritual life.
Because the truth is, wellness goes so much deeper than aesthetics. You can achieve your dream body and still feel anxious, empty, lost, or unfulfilled. True peace, joy, freedom, and purpose are not found in outward appearance — they’re found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The verse that inspired this brand is John 15:5:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
This is the foundation of everything we stand for.
A relationship with Jesus begins when we recognize who we are: sinners in a broken world in need of a Savior. We acknowledge who He is: the Son of God who came to earth fully God and fully man. And we accept and believe in what He did for us: He willingly sacrificed His life for us on the cross, conquered sin and death, and rose to life three days later. He paid our debt in full so that we could be forgiven, redeemed, and made new. When we accept His forgiveness and salvation, invite Him into our lives, and ask the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, everything changes. From there, we continue growing this relationship with Him through prayer, scripture, worship, obedience, and simply spending time in His presence - in other words, through abiding.
Matthew 6:33 says:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
When we put God first, everything else begins to flow from the right place. We no longer pursue health, fitness, or growth from insecurity, fear, comparison, or the need to prove ourselves. Instead, we steward our bodies out of gratitude for the life God has given us.
At Abide Athletics, we believe we don’t bear fruit through constant striving, pressure, or perfectionism — we bear fruit by abiding in Him. Through that relationship, He transforms us from the inside out.
No matter where you are in your faith journey, I want to encourage you to take the next step — whatever that looks like for you. Maybe that means opening your Bible for the first time, praying honestly, finding a church community, spending quiet time with God, or simply becoming curious about who Jesus truly is. Keep seeking Him. Go deeper. He promises that when we seek Him, we will find Him.
My prayer is that this brand points people not only toward physical growth, but toward the One who brings true life. 🤍
